The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from federal and California income taxes. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in a portfolio of municipal obligations which are covered by insurance guarantees. The Fund may also invest in other municipal obligations the interest on which is exempt from federal but not California income taxes and are backed by insurance guarantees with respect to timely payment of interest and principal. The Fund will invest in securities rated AAA or the equivalent. The Fund may leverage its assets through the issuance of preferred stock.
