The primary investment objective of the Fund is to provide a high level of current income and its secondary objective is to seek capital appreciation. At least 65% of the total assets of the fund may be invested in income-producing securities and mortgage related assets. The balance of the assets may be invested in asset backed securities, U.S. Government securities, corporate debt securities, municipal obligations, unregistered securities, derivative mortgage-backed securities and mortgage servicing rights. The fund may employ hedging, forward commitments, reverse repurchase agreements, and lending of its portfolio securities.
